Year 7 Christmas Fayre
Enterprising elves (Thornden Year 7 students) spent last Wednesday’s lessons preparing for this year’s Technology Christmas Fayre. Students spent time producing festive products across the Design & Technology department. Production lines of students manufactured some very creative Christmas cards whilst enhancing their graphical skills and using the die cutter. Other students practiced their skills in the workshops where they manufactured Christmas tea light holders, wine bottle holders and designed and made lots of Christmassy games for the fayre itself. Imaginative Christmas cupcakes and gingerbread biscuits were busily produced in the Food Technology room, whilst students fashioned some imaginative tree decorations in Textiles. The elves were very productive and it culminated in a very successful Christmas fayre run by the students themselves, well done to Year 7, a great start to the festive season!
